Communication Authority of Kenya offers the money from the Universal Service Fund in what kicks off the 100,000km fibre installation journey. 19 counties, especially those in farflung areas, will benefit from Sh5 billion lastmile fibre optic cable connection as the government moves to boost internet access in regions with low connectivity.
